Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is located in central Vietnam, about 500km south of the capital, Hanoi, within the Quang Binh Province.The western boundary of the Park partially forms Laos-Vietnamese border, which is only 42km from the sea. The Park is found within the geographical coordinates of 170 20′-170 48′ N and 1050 46-1060 24′ E in Bo Trach and Minh Hoa Districts. It  is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular tourist destination known for its stunning natural beauty. The park boasts an extensive cave system with some of the world’s largest and most beautiful caves, including Son Doong, the world’s largest cave, and Hang En, the world’s third-largest cave. Paradise Cave

Son Doong Cave

Son Doong Cave, located in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh, Vietnam, is the largest cave in the world and an incredible natural wonder. Discovered only in 1991, the cave was first explored in 2009, and since then, it has attracted adventurers and nature enthusiasts from all over the world. The Son Doong is situated below another cave in Phong Nha-Ke Bang, though its entry passage is very difficult to traverse. The exploration team said they had set foot on just 6.5 kilometers along the cave, as there is a large amount of fast flowing water inside Son Doong. It takes explorers six hours of walking through a 10 kilometer long forest path from Truong Son Highway to reach the mouth of Son Doong cave. The explorer added that the Quang Binh cave has beautiful stalactites and stalagmites that are not seen anywhere else.

The cave is over five kilometers long and reaches heights of over 200 meters, making it a truly awe-inspiring experience for those who venture inside. The cave’s unique features, such as massive stalagmites and underground rivers, are a testament to the natural beauty and power of the earth. To preserve the cave’s fragile ecosystem, access is limited and only allowed through guided tours with strict conservation measures in place.

Dark Cave

Tien Son Cave

Tien Son Cave belongs to Phong Nha Ke Bang tourist complex that comprises natural beauty-spots in central province of Quang Binh. The site is now on the list to be recommended to UNESCO for recognition as a World Heritage Site. Originally called Dry Cave, Tien Son Cave was discovered in April 1935 in the limestone mountain of Ke Bang. The Phong Nha Ke Bang Caves consist of the Phong Nha Cave system, with 9 caves of various sizes and the Vom Cave system, with 8 caves of various sizes. The cave’s intricate system of tunnels and chambers also offers a glimpse into the region’s geological history, with fossils and rock formations dating back millions of years. Visitors can take guided tours of the cave, which include a scenic hike to the cave entrance and a boat ride along an underground river. The tours are led by knowledgeable guides who share the cave’s history and geological significance.

Suoi Nuoc Mooc

As one of the heritage of Quang Binh Vietnam, Mooc Spring (Suoi Nuoc Mooc) is an ideal destination to visit after exploring splendid caves in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. Bang Mineral Hot Spring is located 60km south of Dong Hoi City, in Kim Thuy Commune, Le Thuy District, Quang Binh Province. Bang Mineral Hot Spring has been recorded as the only hot water source in Vietnam with an on-spot temperature of 105oC. The mineral water with a composition of many precious elements has become an internationally prestigious mineral water source. In addition, this hot spring is potential for resorts. Investments have been made on several ten hectares of land area for the development of swimming pools, spas, and accommodation and tourist services to make Bang Hot Spring a favorite resort and wellness tourism destination of both international and domestic visitors.

Vung Chua – Dao Yen

Vung Chua – Dao Yen is located 7km far from the southeast of Ngang Pass (Deo Ngang) – the natural borderline between Quang Binh and Ha Tinh province. The location is the end of Hoanh Son range which runs to South China Sea (East Sea in Vietnam). From the National Avenue 1A, visitors follow a large venue to Hon La port, then voyage to Yen island by boat.

Vung Chua is surrounded by three islands. They are: Hon La, Hon Gia, and Hon Nom (Yen island). That is a reason why local fishermen usually come here to seek for a shelter when storms come. Da Nhay Beach
